About Us
FUNDACION CANTARO AZUL
Fundación Cántaro Azul is a Mexican non-profit civil association based in Chiapas. Its mission is to improve the health and well-being of people living in marginalized communities by developing and implementing sustainable safe water services. Founded in 2006, Cántaro Azul has developed a series of innovative solutions that combine affordable water purification technologies for homes, schools, and communities with a participatory and communication strategy that ensures the sustainability of the systems and the creation of healthy habits. Through these context-adapted solutions, Cántaro Azul has enabled more than 20,000 people to have access to safe water, mainly in Chiapas, Oaxaca, Tabasco, Veracruz, and Baja California Sur. Cántaro Azul has a highly committed multidisciplinary team of more than 45 people working on the development, strengthening, and implementation of safe water solutions in rural and peri-urban contexts. In addition, it collaborates with academic centers, government institutions, international organizations, the private sector, and civil society to enrich these solutions, achieve their sustainability, and extend their impact.
ISLA URBANA
Isla Urbana is a project dedicated to developing and promoting sustainable water development in Mexico through rainwater harvesting. Founded in 2009, the project has focused on designing and installing rainwater harvesting systems in low-income communities where access to the potable water network is precarious and insufficient. Through collaborations with various civil society organizations, it has simultaneously worked on developing and applying community work models to achieve deep acceptance and adoption of the practice in its work areas, seeking to make rainwater harvesting an integral part of daily life in the neighborhoods of Mexico City and rural areas.
NETA CERO
Neta Cero is a social enterprise dedicated to developing and implementing alternative and sustainable technologies that provide basic services such as water, energy, and sanitation for government clients, foundations, and companies managing projects with social, environmental, economic, and productive purposes, seeking to optimize the real impact of their investments in basic service infrastructure. In the field of rainwater harvesting, Neta Cero specializes in large-scale community systems that provide rainwater to entire communities through its capture, filtration, pumping, distribution, and/or interconnection to existing potable water networks.
FUNDACION GONZALO RIO ARRONTE
The Gonzalo Rio Arronte Foundation is a private assistance institution non-profit and without affiliation to party, race or religion, founded in the year 2000. Its headquarters are located in CDMX and its scope of action covers the entire country. Fundamentally it supports the participation of society civilian in the care of vulnerable groups, promotes with the foundation the indispensable support to face increasingly pressing problems which are presented as problems in health areas, addictions and water.
